among the many school stuff i have to do, i have aquired a few commissions from museums back home! YAY i love museums! :D especially Alberta ones! So My uncle works at the Prairie Tractor Museum in Picture Butte and he asked i I were to do a commemorative coin to pioneer women, which is their theme for the harvest fest, i believe, this year.  They are actually getting the coin made and will hand them out to visitors on the day of the festival.  anyways, so my uncle wanted a woman with a hat on, and we had this long discussion and both agreed that by the 1870s, Sun bonnets werent really worn in the Alberta Prairies, so we looked through some history books and did some research online and looked for feathered hats and stuff.  good times.
